could fuck up the house. He didn t even look at Braxton, but went and
climbed back in his bed.
Edward? a curious voice asked from the doorway. Seriously?
Logan sprang up from the bed so quickly, his head spun. He
stumbled halfway to the door before his legs gave out, and he folded
to his knees. He knelt there on the floor, staring openly at the most
beautiful sight he d ever seen.
You drunk?
Logan just shook his head mutely.
Keeton wrinkled his nose as he stepped inside the room. It smells
like a bag of assholes in here. Then he leaned in, and sniffed at
Logan. Sweet hell! When s the last time you showered?
Logan couldn t remember, didn t really care. He just continued to
drink in the sight of the angel in front of him.
Keeton stared back at him for a minute before he rolled his eyes
and snorted. Okay, shower, food, and then we will talk. He reached
out to help Logan to his feet, and pushed him toward the door. I ll
try and clean up this toxic waste site you call a bedroom.
Logan looked over his shoulder as he stepped out into the hall. He
didn t want to leave didn t want to let Keeton out of his sight. He
opened his mouth, but Keeton waved a hand, cutting him off.
The smile Keeton gave him was so sweet it made his knees weak.
I ll be here.
Logan nodded once and hurried down the hall to the bathroom.

Keeton began picking up the dirty clothes strewn across Logan s
room. They were everywhere on the floor, the bed, the dresser, even
draped over the lamps. He deposited them all in the empty hamper,
then grabbed the trashcan from behind the door and started collecting
the empty beer bottles. There were dozens of them on the nightstands,
the dresser, and he even found a few under the bed. Next, he removed
the sheets and blankets from Logan s bed and tossed them in the
hamper as well. He found new linens in the closet and quickly remade
the bed.
When he finally finished, Keeton sat down on the edge of the bed
and sighed. He hadn t believed Braxton when he told him how
depressed Logan was.
He, himself, had been miserable all week. Hell, his room probably
looked worse than Logan s. He couldn t sleep, and he had barely
eaten since leaving after Xander s birthday party. The only things that
came easily were thoughts of Logan.
Logan appeared in the doorway just as Keeton stood to pull back
the curtains.
He nearly swallowed his tongue. Logan wore only a towel, slung
low on his hips. Water dripped from the ends of his hair, and he
watched Keeton uncertainly.
Keeton felt his heart stutter at the guarded expression in the man s
eyes. He knew Logan had good reason to regard him in such a way.
He wanted to do something, say anything, to reassure him, but he was
just as nervous as his& mate.
I might as well get used to saying it.
His longest relationship had lasted exactly twenty-four days. What
the hell did he know about being someone s mate or partner? He had
already been freaking out about the whole Mariah-doesn t-have-a-
soul thing, and then they had dropped the big M-bomb in his lap.

their mates. Maybe Logan only wanted him because of the
connection. Keeton would not be content with being only a
consolation prize. He wanted the blue ribbon. He needed someone to
love him, not just be stuck with him.
He looked back to Logan, surprised to find him still standing in
the doorway, staring down at his feet and looking completely
dejected.
Morton Salt, Keeton said.
Logan looked at him blankly.
You know, When it rains, it pours. He snorted when Logan
continued to look at him in confusion.
Never mind. He walked across the room to Logan and stopped
right in front of him. I m sorry. I panicked, and I handled it badly. I
can t promise you anything, but I m willing to try.
Keeton took the last step, pressed his body against Logan s, and
wrapped his arms lightly around his narrow waist. I don t know [ Pobierz całość w formacie PDF ]
